Whisky festivals are a fantastic place to try new whiskies. You get small amounts of lots of drams, hear stories, and take on new experiences. But they are also a good place to try new things from old favourites. If you are a regular reader, then you will know that I love WireWorks and all that they make.

Aroma: Sweet like brioche, with a waft of smoke, toasted hazelnuts, and stewed apples.

Taste: At first, sweet and creamy, like milk chocolate, with a malty, Horlicks-like sweetness. Then it becomes fruity, like strawberries, with creamy vanilla. Like custard creams that have been gently toasted and caramelised. The end notes are gently sweet, with fruity tones and a waft of chimney smoke.

Real Dram Factor: This is one of those whiskies that you know will be brilliant. A perfect mix of a fantastic distillery, interesting casking, and high-quality initial liquid.

You will like this if: You like Cadbury’s Whole Nut chocolate and think it would make a great whisky in liquid form.
