The whisky drinking community is such a friendly and generous place. It has been a huge bastion of optimism and kindness over the last ten years. It has been a great source of friendship and has presented me with some money-can’t-buy (or at least I can’t afford) whiskies. Steve at The Whisky Wire has run over a decade of online tastings, and they have all been educational, informative, and fun.

Aroma: Milk bottle sweets, shop-bought mini apple pies, and a gentle waft of sweet spice that sits somewhere between cinnamon and ginger.

Taste: This whisky starts sweet, with pineapple rings, coconut biscuits, and custard creams. This gives way to a lovely warming spice that is cinnamon-like but laced with the creamy custard from before. The finish is delicate but long-lasting. Further sipping reveals tropical notes that sit somewhere between guava and mango.

Real Dram Factor: A fascinating, mind-changing whisky that proves blends can be fantastic and often better than many single malts.

You will like this if: You are patient and prepared to give your time to waiting for flavour.
