One of the main joys of the whisky world is the lovely people who are in it. Meeting Georgie and Fab at Exploring Whisky: Bristol was a real joy. They are a husband-and-wife team, who are passionate about collaborating with interesting whisky brands and bringing single cask and small batch bottlings to the masses. They hand select whiskies with such care that you could pretty much sign yourself up to only drinking their stuff and still be very happy!

Aroma: Fruity with Apple or lemon, creamy with a vanilla or marzipan sweetness and a cinnamon like spice – this whisky has big McDonalds apple pie vibes on the nose. It is fruity, inviting and sweet.

Taste: At first this whisky is light and sweet, like a butter toffee or vanilla fudge.

Then it blossoms into a huge burst of tropical fruit sweetness: mango, papaya and maybe even a zesty pineapple. As I sipped it more, there was some berry fruit in there too.

The last notes are chewy, the berry fruit comes to the fore, alongside some toasted nuts. There was a lovely wooden spice there too.

Real Dram Factor: This is a delight of a whisky; it made me want to revisit the Nc’Nean core range and get a visit booked in as soon as possible – 8.4

You will like this if: you like fruit forward whisky and a big punch zingy sherbet.
